Cowboy Bebop

Meet Spike and Jet, a drifter and a retired cyborg cop who have formed a partnership in a bounty hunting enterprise. In a converted fishing ship the Bebop, with the help of the intelligent data dog, Ein, and the voluptuous femme fatale, Faye Valentine - They're going to clean up space, one bounty at a time!

Mars. Days before Halloween 2071. Villains blow up a tanker truck on Highway One, releasing a deadly virus that kills hundreds. Fearing a bigger, even more devastating biochemical attack, an astronomical reward is offered for the arrest and capture of the person behind the destruction. On the spaceship "Bebop," Spike Spiegel and his crew of bounty hunters (Jet Black, Faye Valentine, Ed, and Ein) are bored and short of cash. But with the news of the reward everything changes.

Nearly twenty years ago the Earth was devastated in a catastrophic accident that left the solar system politically unstable. The wealthy moved to other planets, the poor stayed on a desolate Earth, and crime in its myriad forms spread everywhere. In the wake of this, the professional bounty hunter became a staple in the interplanetary terrain, snatching elusive criminals for wads of cash.

The Bebop crew runs into a modern day Robin Hood who has designs on thwarting the taxation practices of an unyielding government, whether or not there is a method to their madness. The crew wiggles out of that debacle right into the crossfire of a Dragon Head rivalry in which their old friend the Scorpion re-surfaces for a little blackmail and kidnapping.
