Last Exile DVD 1 (Hyb): First Move

Hello Anime Fans, I have had the great good fortune to be able to see many anime works in their orignal Japanese form and also in there re-dubbed english dialogue as well. I must say that Last Exile is one of the best I've seen that will become a classic, I am sure. The CG rendered graphics are remarkable and the plot is even better. It is extremely action packed and will keep you on the edge of seat with it's mystery. I have only seen half of the Japanese version of the series and anxiously await seeing the rest. Last Exile appears to contain two plots one revolving around the warring Anatoray and Disith nations, which appears to be monitored and refereed by the mysterious Guild. Who is the Guild? I am sure we will find out more about them later in the Series. The second plot revolves around a mysterious child of whom Vanship pilots Claus and Lavie are charged with delivering to the Mysterious Air Battleship Silvana. I will not give out any spoilers as to what happens, but I will say that this is an extremely anction packed anime, with an exciting plot that is a must own, must see item. I've seen the series and it's simply awesome. The animation is very crisp, CG effects are astounding, aerial fight scenes between the flying battleship are good because they don't pull some "Super Mega Death Ray Cannon" but instead they still does it the classic way of slugging it out. Beautiful from end to end You know how shows like Zoids and that pile of trash Candidate for Goddess (Pilot Candidate) just threw CG effects in to make things flashy? LAst Exile learned from mistakes of past shows. The CG in this show fits so nicely, and that is just the icing. The story is such that it makes you want to watch, even when there is not too much action (doesn't happen that often). There is plenty of character development on our two heroes which is always a plus. The first disc has me already anticipating the last which is not due til December.
