DVD was great, artbox left much to be desired. The seventh volume of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle was exactly what I expected it to be; a good dub, excellent subs, no exciting extras, and a preview you can't skip when you put the DVD into the player. Well, at least the disc lived up to my expectations! The box however...For those of you who bought the first starter set, this is nothing like that. The box is a simple five-sided slide your disc in box, which would have been fine if that's what the first box set looked like. They just look silly sitting next to each other on my bookshelf. As well, the picture shown of the main for characters is repeated on both prominent sides of the box. So, at least I personally feel, like I was robbed of a piece of box art. Lucky Star DVD 2 (Hyb) Special Limited Edition Otaku Review - Sep 3 2008 otakureview@gmail.com Rating: Wonderful! THE Otaku Comedy The series continues to make me laugh on multiple levels and every time I rewatch it I find something new that I missed before. While someone can’t stress enough how much of a niche title this is, you equally cannot stress enough that this is comic gold. The jokes are well paced, the characters are all appealing in their various roles and dialogue really keeps your attention. If you call yourself otaku, then it’s hard to see how you could pass this one up. Inu Yasha Season 5 DVD Box Set (Hyb) Cathy Hayes - Sep 3 2008 blactcat@live.com Rating: Wonderful! Great Box Set I was not disappointed in this season Box Set at all. I was very happy with it just as I've been with all my other Box Sets. If you like watching Inuyasha fight people that look stronger than him or maybe they just know how to fight better if you want to know buy this 5 Season Box Set I don't think your be sorry. Red Garden DVD 5 (Hyb): Love Lies Bleeding Otaku Review - Sep 3 2008 otakureview@gmail.com Rating: Wonderful! Great Hype for the Climax While the cynical members of the audience are going to worry about the ending not living up to the hype, the rest of the audience has every reason to be excited to see the final episodes. The characters have all had their chance to express how they feel about where they’re headed and now it’s time to get there. In the final three episodes, it will be time for Red Garden to answer all the questions that fans have. This is a series that continues to get better and will be hard to let go of when it ends. Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales DVD 3 (Hyb): Goblin Cat Fukai Mouri - Sep 3 2008 Rating: Wonderful! I can not wait until the spin-off is licensed. What do you call an anime with unique animation, a powerful and disturbing story, and a badass (and hot) medicine seller? (Yes, medicine seller.) A masterpiece. Even if you haven't seen the previous arc's of Ayakashi, this three episode arc can stand on it's own and give you 75 minutes worth of entertainment. |
