The next Tenka'ichi Budokai martial arts tournament is just around the corner, and an eager Son Goku can't wait to face even tougher fighters for the "Strongest Under the Heavens" title! Among the contestants are pipsqueak Chaozu and three-eyed Tenshinhan, deadly disciples of Tsuru-Sen'nin, the Crane Hermit!

The Great Demon King Piccolo is all set for world domination - but first, he needs to gather the seven Dragon Balls to restore his youth and power. Son Goku and his friends pit themselves against this heartless monster, but it's looking more and more grim for the side of good as Piccolo picks them off one by one...

Deep in a forest untouched by civilization, Goku lives a simple life. He trains hard every day, just like his grandpa taught him, never giving a thought to the wide world beyond his home. But when a stranger arrives with curious machines and tales of a wish-granting dragon, Goku's simple life is turned upside down.

There's something fishy - or piggy, perhaps? - about the deserted town Bulma and Goku travel to next. But it's home to a Dragon Ball, so our heroes charge ahead. Just when it seems they're living high on the hog, Goku and Bulma cross paths with Yamcha and Pu'ar, the deadly duo of the desert. Is this the end of the quest? Has the bacon hit the pan? Sooo-wee!

Is it hot in here, or is it just Fry Pan Mountain? The blazing rock is home to the terrifying Ox King - and the site of the next Dragon Ball. Oolong wants to stay as far away as possible, but Goku and Bulma dive headlong into the fire.

Our heroes are in quite a stew! When the Rabbit Mob shows up, Goku kicks some serious cottontail. But the bunny boys call in the Carrot Master and Goku's goose is cooked!

Things are not looking good. Lord Pilaf has all seven Dragon Balls, our heroes are locked in a dungeon, and Goku is hungry again! With his last bit of strength he blasts a tiny hole in the dungeon wall, just in time to see Pilaf summon Shen Long. Oh well, at least it's a nice night for the world to end. The stars are out, the moon is full - but wait! Goku has one last trick up his sleeve!

Through a series of adventures with a variety of strange characters, Goku and Bulma have finally gathered all but the seventh Dragon Ball. That ball is in the hands of dictator Pilaf, who wants the other six for his wish: to rule the world. But as Pilaf summons the Eternal Dragon, Goku is exposed to the full moon - with wild results.

A young monkey-tailed boy named Goku's quiet life changes when he meets Bulma, a girl who is on a quest to collect seven "Dragon Balls." If she gathers them all, an incredibly powerful dragon will appear and grant her one wish. But the precious orbs are scattered all over the world, and Bulma could use the help of a certain super-strong boy...
