ALL ages will enjoy this one!!
Only a few disappointments: There are only 24 episodes, even though the box is marked 26 (I suppose if you count the Summer Special...). The floating piano, in the prologue to episode one, isn't explained until the last episode. GENEON (Pioneer) keeps subtitling Sugar's "Wahoo!" as "Waffo!" (they sound similar, but they aren't). A couple of nice Extras: DVD #3 has a 15 min. "slideshow" of Location Hunting in Rothenburg, Germany hosted by the Japanese voices of Saga (Masumi Asano) and the anime director (Shinichirou Kimura). DVD #4 has the "Snow Flower" ending theme, sung by Maria Yamamoto, as a full length Music Video. For the full length version of the opening theme of "Sugar Baby Love" see: "Yoko Ishida: Sweets CD Soundtrack." This CD also has a track with Youko Ishida singing the original English version of the song. Don't forget to look for the "Sugar, A Little Snow Fairy Summer Special DVD" also.

"Sugar Baby Love" The opening theme from: Chitcha na Yuki Tsukai SHUGA- (A Little Snow Spirit: Sugar) was a 1974 English (British) "doo-wop" song created by W.Bickerton & T.Waddington and sung by The Rubettes (see Wikipedia). The "English" version is the original version, which the Japanese version was translated from. The Rubettes single went to #1, and sold 8 million copies. Read the article about Pete Best in Wikipedia concerning what Wayne Bickerton and Tony Waddington were doing before they were songwriters for The Rubettes.

In the anime, you will find in the opening credits: Lyrics by: W.Bickerton, T.Waddington; Composed by: W.Bickerton, T.Waddington; Japanese Lyrics by: Joe Lemon; Vocal [uta]: Youko Ishida. It's easy enough to find this in the Extras: Original Japanese Opening, since the opening theme title is in English.

Kawaii !! Get out the waffles !!!!
Darn cute !

A heart warming story, that almost all ages can watch and really enjoy ! Grab it while you can ! Fan of anime or not, there is something here for everyone.I am soo glad I waited to snag this,as I would have paid about 120 for it,4 months ago.The artbox is well made, and the art fits the shows aesthetic well.

Great animation, and good art direction,as well wonderfully done music, that just fits perfectly.Sad that its OOP,but I guess the bright side is that its now more accessable to all at this excellent price point. Its one of the best shoujo series I have watched in the last 20 years.
