Angelic Layer

The moment small town girl Misaki Suzuhara arrives in Tokyo, she is thrust into the excitement of Angelic Layer-a high-tech, fast-paced game where dolls called Angels are controlled by the thoughts of their operators, also called Deus.

12-year-old Misaki is beginning school in Tokyo. Upon arriving she spots a competition being broadcast called Angelic Layer - the latest high tech battle game fought by using dolls (Angels). Enchanted with one of the Angels she sees fighting, Misaki is inspired to create her own Angel and it leads her on an adventure that she never even dreamed was possible before coming to Tokyo!

Junior-high student Misaki Suzuhara has just arrived in Tokyo to live with her glamorous TV news star aunt and to attend the prestigious Eriol Academy. But what excites her above everything is Angelic Layer, the arena game where you control an Angel - a miniature robot fighter whose moves depend on your mind! Misaki's small, just like her Angel, Hikaru, but her natural battle skills have been recognized by a very odd scientist, Ichiro "Icchan" Mihara. Before she knows it, Misaki is an up-and-coming contender in Angelic Layer - and in way over her not-very-tall head!

Misaki and Hikaru are in a desperate fight against Kaede and Blanche! But even getting out of the Layer intact means facing new rivals in the competition ahead... and facing the true, personal meaning of the game for Hikaru and her so faraway, so close mother.
