Monkey D. Luffy - Apr 26 2008 Rating: This sucked! Too expensive for the price. At $50 a pop, they better be putting 26 eps per boxset, not 13! With over 300 episodes and more than 8 movies, buying the series will cost over $1500! That is way too much, for so little. You can get 'several' anime series for the cost of just this alone. Fantastic Considering that the Japanese DVDs sell for about $50 bucks with only two or three episodes on them, the above Monkey D. Luffy's complaints are unfounded. This is a steal after how much effort was put into creating a faithful English representation of my favorite anime. FUNimation chose a great cast, and this DVD set really shows that FUNimation's up to the challenge of dubbing One Piece and its wonderful story. It WILL be a long way to go until we're caught up with over 380 episodes, but to me, it's worth the wait and the money. Thank you, Oda, for the greatest shounen story since ever, and thank you, FUNimation, for bringing us the greatest shounen story since ever in English. |
